Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 Visa
Subclass 190 skilled independent visa is a permanent residency visa and must be nominated by a State or Territory Government. To apply for Skilled nominated subclass 190, required to lodgeanExpressionof Interest through SkillSelect and invited by the department of immigration. You must lodge the invitation with in 60 days from the invitation
Visa Criteria
In order to qualify for a Subclass 190 visa, you would need to:
- You must lodge an EOI to get invited
- You must be nominated by a State or Territory Government
- You must meet the minimum skilled migration points 65
- Age must be between 18 and 44 inclusive
- You must have a positive skill assessment in your occupation
- Your occupation must be in the skill occupation list
- Have Competent English or higher or holder of valid passports
- Meet health and character requirements

Where can I apply this visa?
You can either be in Australia or overseas when you apply for a Subclass 190 Visa. A holder of a substantive visa, bridging visa A, bridging visa B or bridging visa C can lodge an visa with in Australia. Once you apply from within Australia, you would receive a bridging visa allowing you to remain in Australia during processing of your visa application
Who can be included in this visa?
You can include the following family members in your application:
- Spouse or defactopartner (including same-sex spouse/partner)
- Dependent children
It is possible to include partners and dependent children after lodgement of the application but before finalizing the visa.

Duration and Conditions
A subclass 190 visa is a permanent visa with full work rights. If you are outside Australia when the visa is granted, you and your family members will need to enter Australia for the first time prior to the expiry of the timeframe given in the visa grant letter. You would generally be expected to reside for 2 years in the State or Territory which nominated you for the visa.
